We expect our 2013 National Convention  to be very well attended, and a sponsorship will allow your Company or local IPMS chapter to be presented to our convention attendees and visitors.

There are five types of sponsorship opportunities: Contest , Promotional , Convention Room , Convention Program , and Raffle .

All sponsorships include your logo on this page of our website, linked to the destination of your choice.  Also included is logo placement on our Wall of Sponsors to be placed in the Contest Room and a listing in the Sponsor Directory in the Convention Program.  Additional placements are listed for each Sponsorship Opportunity described below.

We can only accept monetary payments for Awards Sponsorships, Program advertisements, and Convention Room sponsorships. Any donations in the form of product will be included in the Raffle. Sponsorships amounting to over $500 must be reported to the IRS.  See information below for requesting a sponsorship and payment options .

Contest Sponsorship :

For $100 each, overall Class awards ( e.g., "Best Aircraft"), and Special Theme awards can be sponsored. All Sold !

For $85 each, Category awards can be sponsored per category (includes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards). 43 are still available as of July 21st!

For $85 each, Special-Interest awards can be sponsored (such as a manufacturer's award or "best subject" award), in addition to sponsorship of a Category award (which is the $85 fee per award).  Special-Interest awards must be provided by, judged by, and placed by the sponsors during the hours the contest room is open to the public.  Special-Interest awards are not sanctioned by IPMS/USA, and therefore cannot be judged during the closed judging session, are not judged by the IPMS national judging corps, and are not included in the awards presentation or IPMS/USA Journal.  However, Special-Interest award subjects and their sponsor logo can be included on this website for announcement to contest participants.

If you're interested in sponsoring a contest award, please send your completed request form ( pdf format or MS Word ) to our Sponsorship Coordinator . Please list your top-three selections that you'd like to sponsor for each type of sponsorship.  We'll do our best to select your first choice, and will process sponsorships in the date order that they are received.  Ultimately, it will be at the Convention Committee's discretion to match sponsors with specific IPMS contest awards.

Promotional Sponsorships

Online retail stores can participate by including our 2013 Thin Air Nationals fliers in their outgoing shipments to customers, and placing our logo and website link on their home page.  In return, the store's logo and website link will be added to our Promotional Sponsor section on this website.

Convention Room Sponsorships

Instead of the usual hotel conference room or ballroom names, sponsors can name a room for the duration of the Convention events taking place in it.  The sponsor name will appear in all maps and schedules and on all relevant signage at the show.

Convention Program Advertising

Place an advertisement in the 2013 Thin Air National Convention Program.

$200 - full page ad

There will be two categories of raffle: 1) a daily "Quick Draw McGraw" raffle, with tickets costing only $1 each; and 2) a "Saturday Night Special" raffle, with tickets costing only $5 each. Ticket sales start on Wednesday. Daily raffle tickets are good throughout the convention, and drawings will be held every two hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. There will be a single drawing for the "Saturday Night Special" raffle on Saturday night prior to the convention banquet and awards presentation. Be sure to include your three category choices, as well as listing how you would like your sponsorship to appear on this Sponsors page and in the IPMS/USA Journal .  Also, please email us a high-resolution (.jpg or .gif) image of your logo, to our Webmaster , for inclusion in our Saturday night awards presentation.

Sponsorships will be confirmed and listed as soon as possible upon receipt of payment.  Unpaid sponsorships will be held no longer than 10 calendar days.  Sponsorship opportunities will close July 15, 2013, so please don't wait to get your requests submitted.
